The mission of the First Federal Charitable Foundation is to:

Nurture non-profit institutions and programs which, with Foundation support, will effectively serve those of our community in need;

Empower non-profit institutions and programs which, with Foundation support, will expand their presence in and services to those of our community in need;

Promote the creation of opportunities for new non-profit institutions and programs which, with Foundation support, will serve the unserved of our community.

  
The First Federal Charitable Foundation believes it has a special responsibility to support worthwhile community causes. The Foundation provides financial assistance to agencies and organizations in categories such as:
      • Arts and cultural
      • Civic and economic development
      • Community Development
      • Education
      • General Welfare
      • Health and human services
      • Home ownership opportunities

As we strive to respond to community requests, the First Federal Charitable Foundation supports the needs of communities and area residents in the former market area of First Federal Bank: Carbon, Columbia, Luzerne, Monroe and Schuylkill Counties.

Grant Applications are available to charitable non-profit organizations designated with 501(c)(3) status or eligibility. All requests for funding must be made in writing and include a fully completed grant application. For more information or an application, please call (570) 501-2784.
